Hi, My name is Amber, and I am an illustrator and designer based in Kansas City, Missouri. I am the founder of Furrows Art and am currently pursuing a degree in Illustration at the Kansas City Art Institute. In the future, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in Illustration (still undecided where) and help show others that art is possible for anyone.
My passion lies in creating imaginative environments filled with unique characters, using bold colors and rich textures to bring my ideas to life. As someone who once struggled with speaking, I find joy in expressing emotions through my work, inviting viewers to feel what I feel in each scene. I love weaving fantasy-like creatures into these worlds, drawing inspiration from video games such as Celeste, Undertale, Signalis, and many others. I’m also inspired by artists like Su Ke and Jackie Droujko, as well as by trinkets, stationery, and the nature around me. Several of my illustrations have been selected by the Society of Illustrators, Creative Quarterly, 3x3, and American Illustration.
In my free time, I enjoy collecting figurines, stationery, and stickers. I love exploring different artistic styles through video games and learning about other artists’ creative processes. Outside of art, I enjoy trying new restaurants, shopping trinkets and collecting stationary items. However, most of the time you can find me playing video games with friends.
Feel free to contact me for collaborations, freelance work, or just to say hello!
